Percio uses credits to meter test runs. This page covers what consumes credits, what doesn’t, and how to avoid getting blocked mid-session.

What consumes credits

  • Running a test costs credits per run.

What’s free

  • Creating a persona in the web app — free.
  • Editing, duplicating, or deleting a persona — free.
  • Viewing past test results within your retention window — free.
  • Browsing /test-history — free.

When you hit the limit

If you try to run a test without enough credits, Percio shows an Insufficient credits dialog before any browser work starts — you don’t get charged for a blocked attempt. The dialog points you at your plan and the upgrade flow.

How to see your balance

Open the Billing page. Your current credit balance and plan are shown at the top, along with when credits reset.

Avoiding surprises

  • Nail the scenario before rerunning. A well-written scenario gets more signal per credit than a vague one.
  • Only rerun when you’ve changed something. Rerunning the same scenario with the same persona on the same build rarely produces new insight — spend the credit after you’ve shipped a fix or want a different persona’s take.
  • Watch the balance on long iteration days. Percio shows the balance on the test creation page.

Credits by plan

  • Indie — a monthly allotment suitable for solo founders and small teams iterating on a single product.
  • Pro — a higher allotment plus longer retention and more personas.
